ILA DESIGN ® is a studio for unique jewelry and metal art works formed in 1976 when the artists LYDIA ILARION & MARIN MARINO got to live and work together as a family of designers, goldsmiths and equal partners in the company. THE SIGN was designed and registered as a trade mark of the studio ILA DESIGN •™, Sofia '81. It appears as a stamp on all of their works and is a guarantee for quality and authenticity of their products

THE ARTISTS settled in their new studio in downtown Montreal in 1990 and registered ILA DESIGN as equal partners working together in it. Since then they have been working on one of a kind pieces, commissioned work and production of limited series building up clientele and making their names popular to private collectors, gallery owners, antique dealers and retailers.Their work is shown on many exhibitions and is sold in galleries: "Farfelu Gallery", "Boutique des Metiers des Arts - Bonsequer"," Le Petit Musee”, “Lapidarius”,“Imagin’art” and The Guild of Canadian cCraft in Montreal, “Harbinger”,Waterloo, “Stone Acre Manor”, Brokville, Ontario, ”Artful Image “Concord, Mass,USA. • Commission work - to see more samples click here- Commissions -- MATERIALS & TECHNIQUES The artists of ILADESIGN are professionally trained goldsmiths and designers with wide knowledge on variety of materials and rich experience in the field of jewelry design and making, production jewelry, restoration and conservation of ancient metal objects and contem[orary jewelry design. The materials used in their work are: gold (24 kt, 22kt and 18kt), silver (999, 950 and 925), precious, semiprecious stones, organic materials (pearls, nacre, coral, bone, ebony, amber, coconut shell and wood). The techniques include traditional, constructed jewelry, hammered and raised gold, silver and copper, casting, repousse, open work and sculptural or mixed techniques.
